- New Features
- ACES
- Every Normal or Infiltration (ie. not Special Forces) battle, each team must select an ACE for the battle. That player will get ACE points for their team for every kill of the enemy ACE. ACE points translate into credits and bonus xp for each team. More information is available on the rules page.
- Command Center Redesigned
- The previous command center had remained largely unchanged since it was originally written in 2007, so it was time for an upgrade. The new command center has been written entirely from scratch and should hopefully be a bit more user friendly and less error prone.
- Random Map Selection
- When selecting which territory to attack teams are now able to select from 3 random BF2 maps. This does not apply when attacking a capitol or its two surrounding territories, the maps are not randomized.
- Changes
- Game Modes
- Infiltration is back (along with its research).
- Special Forces attacks are only allowed for adjacent territories again.
- Kits
- Assault has gained a new item: Rocket Propulsion Device. This item acts like a jet pack and will propel the soldier into the air. (Level 3+)
- Rebalances
- Vehicles
- Increased UAV radius on the Black-Hawk UAV (2)
- Decreased the price of Mig-29 (#25) from 43K to 37K and J-10 (#24) from 45K to 39K.
- Blackhawk (Mobile Spawnpoint) (#1) price reduced from 28K to 18K.
- Blackhawk (UAV) (#2) and Mi-17 TOW (#4) price was reduced to 20K.
- Research
- Removed Mi-17 (Mobile Spawnpoint) (#3) from Transports – lvl 2.
- Lvl 3 Transports (UAV and TOW) reduced from 4 to 2 RP.
- Removed Tiger HAP (#35) from Attack – Lvl 2
- Kits
- Removed supply crates from Assault, Medic, and Engineer.
- Battlemap
- Decreased credit value of capitols by 40,000C. All other territories were reduced by 10,000C.
- General
- Increased rubberbanding limit from 20 tickets to 30.
- Decreased xp amounts for kills, assists, heals, and repairs.
- Bug Fixes
- Kits
- Fixed assault’s pistol. Previously was half-damage and double ammo.

In case you missed it, you can watch the stream of the launch here:
It’s a little slow starting out (start talking about the changes at 2min in), but we go over the changes that were implemented. I did forget to mention that there is new rubber banding mechanism ingame: Whenever a team has over a 20 ticket leader, their flag advantage is dropped to a 1 flag advantage, so that the lead doesn’t get out of hand.
We also picked the new COs/XOs for each team:
|
Obruum
|
Altair
|
|
Lightman701 (CO)
|
Hvymetal (CO)
|
|
Abe (XO)
|
Bruestle2 (XO)
