New Game Play Modes: Tug of War

27 January 2012 from [no comments]

Tug of War is a new game play mode in which each team is pushing from one side of the map to the other using three routes, fighting both enemy players bots. As the team progresses they will have to destroy a key piece of equipment at each of the enemies’ strong holds. The final goal being to push one of the routes to the enemy home base and destroy their last key military equipment before time runs out. If neither team manages to push the enemy team’s home base military equipment then the battle will end in a draw. To aid in the completion of this game play mode, the vehicle placement limit will be increased to 50.

New Game Play Mode: Special Forces

27 January 2012 from [no comments]

This is a new game play mode called Special Forces. In this game play mode the defending team will have 15 objects to defend at various points across the map. The attacking team will have to destroy 12 of these objects within the 30 minute time limit, in order to achieve victory for that location. One of the unique aspects about this mode is that the only spawn point is aboard the team’s CCV. If the CCV gets destroyed that team’s new CCV will spawn at a random outer location. Since the objects can really only be destroyed using C4, the team will be able to request a C4 kit from their CCV.

New Launcher

26 January 2012 from [no comments]

The launcher has been completely redone. It is bigger, stronger, faster, more efficient, and didn’t even cost us $6 billion. But we are still accepting donations!

Turn Mechanics Changed

20 January 2012 from [no comments]

There are new turn mechanics in place. Instead of having a turn order in which one team goes and the other one follows, both turns have been synced and will occur simultaneously. Due to this new system, some conditions can cause special turn mechanics to take place. For instance, if team A attacks where team B attacks from, then team B’s attack phase occurs before team A’s attack phase. Another condition that can take place is if team A attacks where team B is attacking from, and team B attacks where team A is attacking from, a special battle scenario takes place. More will be revealed about that battle scenario later.

Changes to the A-10

The A-10 was overpowered so in order to keep it more balanced some adjustments were made. The A-10 now has decreased handling and the damage it deals to helicopters and planes was greatly decreased.

Class Change #5: Support

10 January 2012 from [no comments]

The fifth of the changes made to Broken Unity 7 is with the Support Class. The support class has lost the stationary TOW and the stationary AA. The support class now gets a newly added weapon. They have a stationary grenade launcher, which shoots a burst of three grenades at a time. They will also receive the grappling hook, allowing them to reach higher places and take advantage of the destructive power of the stationary grenade launcher.

Class Change #4: Engineer

9 January 2012 from [no comments]

The fourth of the changes made to Broken Unity 7 is with the Engineer Class. There is now only one engineer class! To keep the class more balanced, the engineer no longer has the shoulder mounted AT rocket and shoulder mounted AA rocket. Instead they will use the stationary tow and the stationary AA. The engineer still has land mines, destructo wrench, a pistol, and a shotgun.
